01Horizontal or Vertical?
Both layouts include the same planning pages. The difference is how those pages are arranged.Horizontal gives you a wider view with more room across the page.Vertical gives you an upright view for those who prefer planning in portrait orientation.
A little tip: If you’re using an iPad with an 11-inch screen or smaller, reMarkable Paper Pure or reMarkable 2, we recommend Vertical for more comfortable reading and writing. Horizontal is still available if you prefer the wider view.
02iPad or reMarkable?
Unfold has separate editions designed around different writing spaces and page proportions. Choose the one that best matches the setup you plan to use.
iPad Edition
Designed with everyday handwriting in mind.
Unfold’s iPad page proportions leave room for the Goodnotes toolbars to stay open, giving you a comfortable writing area without needing to constantly zoom in just to write.You don’t need Goodnotes specifically. Unfold can also be used with Notability and other compatible PDF annotation apps that support clickable PDF links.Designed for: iPad with compatible PDF annotation apps such as Goodnotes and Notability.Page ratio: Horizontal: 79:51 — 948 × 612 pt Vertical: 111:136 — 666 × 816 ptYou’ll need your own compatible device and app. If you want to handwrite, you’ll also need a compatible stylus such as Apple Pencil. Devices, styluses and third-party apps are not included with your purchase.
reMarkable Edition
Designed around the 4:3 Horizontal / 3:4 Vertical page proportions used by supported reMarkable devices.Designed for: reMarkable Paper Pro, Paper Pure and reMarkable 2.Paper Pro displays the planner in colour. On the smaller monochrome Paper Pure and reMarkable 2 displays, the page appears physically smaller and colour elements display in grayscale.You’ll need your own supported device and compatible Marker if you want to handwrite. The device and Marker are not included with your purchase.
Using another device or app?
You don’t necessarily need one of the named devices or apps.
If your setup supports PDF annotation, handwriting and clickable PDF links, Unfold may work there too. The page ratios above can help you compare the planner with the writing area available on your device.Because screen sizes and apps behave differently, the exact fit may vary.
03What Comes with Unfold?
Your purchase includes:

Your device, stylus and any third-party apps are not included.
04Your Colors
Your Unfold purchase includes two colour choices for the same device and layout.Choose your first colour when you access your purchase. You don’t need to choose the second one right away - you can come back to your library whenever you’re ready.Once chosen, both colours stay in your library. Choosing your second colour does not replace your first.
A little tip: Not sure which one you want yet? Leave your second colour for later. It’ll be waiting in your library.
05New to Clickable Planners?
Unfold is a linked PDF planner. You write on the pages like a digital notebook, while built-in links help you move around without flipping through hundreds of pages.
Top tabs Move between the main planning sections.Side tabs Jump straight to the month you need.Dates Tap a linked date to open its daily page.Week numbers Tap a linked week number to open that week.
Your device or app may handle writing and following links a little differently, so the exact tap or tool you use can depend on your setup.
06A Few Pages Worth Knowing
Plan & Reflect Look ahead at the month, decide what matters, and come back later to notice what worked, what changed and what you’d like to carry forward.To Plan Have something you want to do, but don’t know when yet? Keep it here while the “when” is still undecided. When you’re ready, move it into a month, week or day.
